Control Electronics Engineer - Full Time


Primary Role

  • We are looking for an electronics and software engineer to design, develop, and validate prototype instrumentation to couple with and support our automation platforms. These systems will include control system for temperature, lighting, and pneumatics as well as detection systems for various sensors and optical detectors. In addition, the engineer will be responsible for developing both user-interface and control software for the systems. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of basic control and detection electronics from proof-of-principle breadboard setups to fully integrated final prototypes
  • Design and validate circuits to control automation hardware and to detect sensors outputs, such as heaters, lasers, ion selective electrodes
  • Program control and user-interface software to operate integrated automation platforms


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with circuit design, breadboard prototyping, and debugging electronics
  • Experience with prototype control boards, such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino
  • Experience with PCB design software
  • Basic programming knowledge – Python, C/C++
  • Effective communication skills


Qualifications

  • ​​BS or MS in EECS, ME, or BioE


Control Instrumentation Intern - Intern or CO-OP

Primary Role

  • We are looking for a control instrumentation intern assist in the design, develop, and validate prototype instrumentation to couple with and support our automation platforms. These systems will include control system for temperature, lighting, and pneumatics as well as detection systems for various sensors and optical detectors.  


Primary Responsibilities
